Two honest answers here, because this is the question people ask most.

The object itself is exactly what you see. A little tree and wreath in textured greenery, red baubles across both, warm LEDs threaded through, and the USB plug built straight into the base.

  • Textured greenery, not flat printed plastic
  • Warm LEDs through the tree and the wreath
  • Red baubles across both shapes
  • USB plug built into the base, no cable to lose
  • Small enough to sit on a nightstand
  • Six patterns that rotate, not one static shape
The projection is the part people get wrong. Turn the lamps off first. In a bright room you will still see it, but it will not look like the photos. Lights down and it is a completely different product.

None. You push it into a USB port or a wall adapter and it turns on.

No batteries to buy, no app to download, no tools, no ladder, no stakes in the lawn and no extension cord snaked through a window.

Aim it at the biggest blank surface in the room and you are done. Most people have it running before the box is in the recycling.

Anywhere with a USB port and something blank to aim at.

  • Bedroom ceilings while the kids fall asleep
  • Living room walls for the evening
  • Kids' rooms as a warm night light
  • Kitchens on Christmas Eve
  • Hallways, stairwells and blank feature walls
  • Covered porches and tents when people come over

Every surface gives you a different look. A flat white ceiling is the sharpest. A textured wall reads warmer and softer. It takes about ten seconds to unplug it and try the next spot.

Under cover, yes. In the rain, no.

Covered porches, patios, gazebos and tents all work beautifully, and they look better than most indoor spots because you get a big blank surface overhead and proper darkness.

This is not a weatherproof lawn projector. Keep it out of rain and snow and bring it in overnight, and it will run all season.

It does not turn into junk in January.

The tree and wreath body is a warm LED light on its own, so plenty of people leave it on a nightstand and keep using it as a soft night light long after the tree comes down.

And when you do pack it away, it goes in a drawer. Not a bin, not the garage, a drawer. Next December you plug it back in and it works exactly the same.

The best part is the ten seconds right after you turn the lamps off.

Every room lights up a little differently depending on ceiling height, wall colour and how dark you get it. Yours will not look identical to anyone else's.

way smaller than i pictured and honestly that's the best part
Christmas projector night light held in one hand
i genuinely thought this was going to be one of those big ugly boxes you stake in the lawn with a cord running through a window. it showed up and it fits in my hand, it's basically the size of a phone. plugged it straight into the outlet behind my nightstand and it just sits there looking like a little wreath until you kill the lamp. my husband walked in and said what IS that on the ceiling.

turn your lamps off, that's the whole trick
Christmas projector lighting up a living room ceiling
leaving this review because i almost returned it on night one. i had every light in the room on, plugged it in, and thought well that's underwhelming. then my daughter hit the lamp and the entire ceiling went nuts. it's a projector, obviously it needs the room dark, i just wasn't thinking. now we do it every night after dinner. don't be me, lights off first.

my daughter will not go to bed without it now
Christmas projector patterns across a bedroom ceiling
three weeks in and it is officially part of the bedtime routine. she lies there picking out which santa is her favorite until she falls asleep. i put it in her room thinking it would be a one week novelty and now i'm the one who has to remember to go unplug it after she's out. the little tree and wreath part glows on its own too so the room isn't pitch black, which she likes.

wish it had a timer but i still use it every night
no complaints about what it actually does, the ceiling looks great and there was nothing to set up. taking a star off because there's no auto shut off, so if you fall asleep with it going it's still going in the morning. not a dealbreaker, i put it on a smart plug and solved it myself. would buy it again.

everything was in the box, had it going in a minute
Christmas projector unboxed with its guide
opened it on the kitchen counter and had it running before i'd even folded the box up. there's a little guide in there but you really don't need it, it's a usb plug, you put it in a usb thing. i used the block off my phone charger. the wreath and tree are nicer in person than i expected honestly, there's real texture to it, it isn't smooth shiny plastic.

bought one and ended up ordering three more for gifts
Opening the Christmas projector at home
got one for myself, showed my dad on facetime and he asked where i got it. showed my sister, same thing. so now i have three more coming and i'm apparently the person who gives christmas projectors this year. it's a good gift because it's cheap enough that it isn't weird but it's the kind of thing nobody ever buys for themselves.

FAQ

A Few Things You
Might Be Wondering

The projector itself, ready to go. A tree and wreath shaped light with warm LEDs through the body, red baubles across both shapes, and a USB plug built straight into the base. It runs off any standard USB port, so a phone charger block, a laptop, a power bank or a wall adapter all work.
No, and that is deliberate. All six run together and rotate, so Santas, trees, snowflakes, reindeer, gifts and stars drift across each other and the whole surface keeps moving. One static shape on a wall is the thing nobody notices by the second week.
Small, and that is one of the best things about it. It sits comfortably on a nightstand or a shelf, and because the plug is built into the base it can go straight into a wall adapter with nothing hanging off it. When the season is over it packs into a drawer, not a bin in the garage.
There is no timer, so it runs until you unplug it. It is a low draw USB LED. Most people leave it going through the evening and pull the plug at bedtime, or leave the body glowing as a soft night light in a kid's room.
Yes if you order before December 12th. This is seasonal stock with one run a year, so when it sells out it is gone until next Christmas rather than restocked in January.
